COINBASE PRO review

Coinbase Pro was established back in 2012 in San Francisco, California. It presents to you as a fine, established trading platform that is created to serve you on your journey of trading Bitcoin and other digital currencies. Still, for the most part, Coinbase Pro is somehow able to hide a lot more than it shows. Basically, in my experience, it is just another flashy, West Coast brand that takes more than it gives, leaving their clients with nothing. I know it happened to me.

When I first stumbled onto their website, I remember thinking - “This is a fine-looking and professional trading platform, finally!” However, I should have been way more cautious to engage with a platform that doesn’t clearly list its regulation and licensing information right away. If you would ask me about one single thing to know about Coinbase Pro, I would tell you the following - nothing is as it seems, so be careful.

Platform and Execution SCORE: 34%

At first, when I visited the website I saw that it is designed quite simply, which is a good thing in my book. However, I noticed that there is much basic information lacking, such as market performance. And yes, do not be fooled by the complicated graph that is put on the home page. Because, when you look at it closely, you will actually notice the harsh truth - it is just a screenshot! How shameful of Coinbase Pro.

Furthermore, I found myself visiting different websites to get info and data on how Bitcoin and Ether are currently performing. This takes away the sole purpose of a trading platform in my opinion. So many different brands today are trying to be our one-stop-shop, while Coinbase Pro seems to be missing this point completely!

Withdrawal Speed SCORE: 21%

What Coinbase Pro will try shoving down your throat right away is the fact that they offer fees as low as 0% (i.e. non-existent fees) for some trading options with Bitcoin. “How sweet!” an innocent soul would assume. However, in my experience, Coinbase Pro makes up for this money by rarely allowing you to ever withdraw any cash that you rightfully earned trading with them.

For a brand that is claiming to be the pride and joy of the US market with over 30 million users, it is devastating to me how this scam hasn’t been revealed yet. You know what they say - the devil works hard, but the Coinbase Pro marketing team clearly works harder. For me, I had quite an unpleasant experience when trying to withdraw my money. They started bombarding my inbox with notifications and even threatening with inactivity fees, that was nowhere listed on their website!

Support and Assistance SCORE: 17%

I’m not here to beat around the bush, so I’m just flat out gonna come out and say it - the Coinbase Pro customer support is the biggest scam in the history of scams. Let me explain.

First, when you try finding information on how to contact them, you will be redirected to some completely different page where there are some articles and basic instructions listed. However, after scrolling for what seemed like several weeks to me, I finally got to the “Contact us” button. However, it took me several tries to push it until I got it right, and was - you guessed it! - redirected to another page.

Then, they wanted me to fill out a basic form that does not even allow me to explain the issue that I am dealing with, but rather some nonsense about “entering my country of residence” and “choosing the area in which the problem is”. So ridiculous!

Education and Tools SCORE: 48%

From what I’ve seen so far, I wasn’t expecting a lot from Coinbase Pro when it comes to education. By the time I got to this part, I was certain there is more that I can teach them than the other way around.

However, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of useful information that they provide in the form of news and helpful articles. Although I noticed that they aren’t being regularly updated, they still provided me with a lot of useful information about the Bitcoin market as a whole.
